Black cherries, blackberries, herbs de Provence, cracked black peppercorns and olives laced in smoke and vanilla bean. The aromatic and flavor profiles are the perfect combination for bistro style foods and great conversation.

Robert M. Parker, Jr.'s The Wine Advocate: 90+ points
The 2001 Fess Parker's Vineyard's dense purple color is accompanied by a firmly structured, peppery, cassis-scented and flavored, full-bodied red with excellent purity, fine texture, and a long, concentrated, thick finish. Give it 1-2 years of cellaring and drink it over the following 10-12 years.

James Laube, Wine Spectator 90 points
Firm, with thick, rich tannins and a core of aromatic wild berry and blueberry fruit. Gains complexity with its roasted grain, nut and fresh ground coffee flavors. Ripe tannins on the finish. Drink now through 2008.
