2004 A La Cave Syrah
"Every year at JC Cellars we are looking for new and exciting Syrah vineyards. Many of these new vineyards are so small that it makes for the perfect addition for our A La Cave program. This big, full-throttle wine contains loads of extracted blueberries and black cherries with an elegant, spicy finish. A touch of oak helps to round out and complete the finish." -Jeff Cohn Tasting Notes This big, full-throttle wine contains loads of extracted blueberries and black cherries with an elegant, spicy finish. A touch of oak helps to round out and complete the finish.
Dark, rich and concentrated, with beefy, grapey and peppery flavors
that are pure, focused and balanced. Drink now through 2011.
The opaque ruby/purple tinged 2004 Syrah a la Cave exhibits abundant
quantities of black cherries, smoke and tapenade characteristics,
medium to full body, more flesh and richness than the California Cuvee,
and a hint of oak. With good underlying acidity as well as freshness,
it can be consumed over the next 3-5 years.
