Tasting Notes: There are some wines that just seem to take you places. This one in particular fits right into a Frederico Fellini movie, featuring aromas of blackberry liquor with subtle bright notes of blueberry that slowly fade into smoky Crème Brulée. Not even Fellini could ask for a better cast of flavors. Smoky hot road tar mingles with freshly slit vanilla beans and warm blackberry pie. A firm backbone of tannin adds to the seemingly never-ending finish.

Shows wonderful rich espresso, toffee and chicory notes, with chewy tannins and dark, ripe huckleberry, cassis, blackberry and licorice flavors. A dense, sink-your-teeth-into-it Petite, with wonderful concentration, detail and length. Drink now through 2015. 249 cases made. –MW
