$40.00

The 2007 vintage has aromatics and flavors that are centered on the minerality of the terroir. Peaches and cream, yellow apple and apricot fruit are backed by orange blossom, quartz and persimmon notes. Bright and lively, it marries concentration and balance with a finish that stretches on and on. 50 cases produced.

This will be the 2nd vintage of our precious French Viognier project, 50% Condrieu and 50% Seysseul. My friend, Francois Villard, and I work together to produce a wine that showcases both our winemaking styles in the bottle. I often am asked why I make this wine. Well, the first white wine which inspired me was Condrieu, which produces magical Viognier. Now don’t get me wrong, I feel we can make great Viognier in California, however it’s just not the same. Condrieu creates the perfect environment between soil, sun and terrain lending to aromatics of fresh stone fruit, honey and floral notes all the while interlaced with a core of minerality. The wine from this region remains unctuous and fresh, without being weighed down. –Jeff Cohn
